Appellate Practice

Real Estate
Litigation
Tompkins, McGuire acts
as claims and coverage counsel for almost every
major title insurance carrier that provides title
insurance services in New Jersey. We also represent
institutional and private lenders in protecting
their mortgage liens, in workouts and in foreclosure
actions. Our attorneys have expertise in all areas
of real estate related litigation, including real
estate and mortgage fraud, contested commercial
and residential foreclosures, boundary line disputes,
adverse possession, quiet title actions, lien

Workers Compensation
For over a decade, Tompkins, McGuire has defended
self-insured corporations and insurance carriers,
directly and through third-party administrators. Using
an aggressive approach and the experience that
only a high-volume practice can offer, we competently

claims brought by employees. Because we handle
so many workers compensation cases, we are assigned

Arbitration
and Mediation
With the costs and risks associated with litigating
a matter through the court system, often we
suggest that our clients turn to alternate dispute
resolution ("ADR"), which can provide new ways
to resolve differences among parties. We are
proponents of ADR when we believe it can provide
our clients with prompt and cost-efficient resolution

the services of two former Superior Court judges,
one of whom devotes the majority of his practice

Tompkins, McGuire counts

liability and automobile liability insurance carriers
and third party administrators. Our attorneys
regularly represent these clients’ insureds in
defense of personal injury matters filed in all
counties in New Jersey and in the Untied Stated
District Court for the District of New Jersey.
As with all litigated matters, we take a proactive
